Mugsy's Girls, also known as Delta Pi, is a college farce featuring Ruth Gordon in her final film appearance and pop singer Laura Branigan in her film debut. Gordon is a fun-loving sorority house mother who watches over the wild women of Delta Pi. Hopelessly strapped for cash, and under the gun of a loan-shark, the girls arrange an all-day wrestling match and party to raise money. But the real allure of big bucks comes when they agree to travel to Las Vegas with a startup promoter and his geeky sidekick to participate in a mud wrestling “winner takes all” $100K competition to raise money to save their house.
