On January 18, 2002, Laura and her band performed in concert at the Wolf Den in Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. It's a rather unique venue there, as it's not an enclosed theatre or arena, but the carousel stage sits out on the floor of the casino. This was Laura's first show after months of recovering from her accident where she had broken both of her femurs, so it was very special for both she and her audience for Laura to be back on stage performing again.
Highlights of this show included Laura's FIRST EVER LIVE PERFORMANCE of her version of ABBA's super hit "The Winner Takes It All," as well as her closing of the show with her especially poignant and striking performance of "America the Beautiful," just four months after the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Laura dedicated this patriotic American song to all those who died in the attacks, the families who lost loved ones, all the first responders, and our soldiers. Laura's rendition deeply touched the hearts of all of us who were in the audience.
Laura and her band were in top form that evening at Mohegan, and the lively audience was really into the show, having an awesome time. It was great to be a part of the electric atmosphere that evening at the Wolf Den, and Laura's great love for her fans, her "other half," was ever so apparent!
Enjoy this special Christmas gift from Other Half Entertainment to all of you!
