Joey Sontz Releases "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" Tribute EP to Benefit Project Angel Food

Other Half Entertainment is happy to announce that Joey Sontz will be digitally releasing a Laura Branigan Tribute EP featuring "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" tomorrow March 22 on all major platforms. Joey contacted legacy manager Kathy Golik last year about his desire to pay tribute to Laura, whom he expressed had such a profound effect upon him, relating a story to Kathy that in the late 80's when he was taking voice lessons in New York City, he met Laura in an elevator, as they were both heading to their lessons - she with Carlo Menotti and he with David Lewis. What Joey has never forgotten about that encounter was Laura's graciousness and kindness as she wished him good luck with his career, and that her support meant everything to him as a young performer. He was also touched and inspired by her caring heart. Given that backstory, it's not surprising that Joey approached Kathy about donating the proceeds from his tribute single to a charity, and he asked her for an organization that Laura herself supported during her lifetime, and she immediately thought of Project Angel Food. Joey and Kathy both agreed that would be perfect and Joey has kept Kathy updated throughout his work on the project.

Joey first recorded his "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" single, but before all was said and done, the project expanded and became a 5-track EP with additional mixes of the song. There's also a bonus track - "Out Here on My Own," the song that Irene Cara sang in the film "Fame," which nicely compliments the other tracks to close out the EP. Well-known producer and DJ Austin Leeds of Miami came on board this project and created an amazing Dance Remix, as well as a Ballad Remix. The whole range is found on this EP - from pop ballad to a catchy and fun dance version, a true homage to Laura's great ballad, done respectfully and with passion.

Our best wishes to Joey on the release of his EP tomorrow and for his fundraiser for Project Angel Food. Thank you so much for paying tribute to our Laura and for honoring her memory.
