Other Half Entertainment is happy to share Laura's very last radio interview to her official artist channel on YouTube. On September 5, 2003, on-air personality Codi Jeffreys of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada radio station Majic 100.3 FM did a segmented telephone interview with Laura, featuring her as a guest co-host during Codi's weekly Friday night "That 80's Show". Codi chatted with Laura throughout the evening about Laura's then upcoming Turning Stone Resort Casino concert in Verona, New York, on September 20, 2003, and her own excitement and anticipation about coming to that show to see Laura perform. They also spoke about Laura taking time away in the mid-90's to care for her husband after his cancer diagnosis, as well as Laura's mourning process after his death, and her subsequent return to the studio and to performing. Laura also talked about her accident at her home, as well as her role as Janis Joplin in the "Love, Janis" musical. Next Laura reminisced about the "Gloria" days, then recalled one of her many memories from the 80's. Also, the radio and online audiences listening to the show that evening were treated to something very special, for the very first time on radio - two songs that were recorded to be on the new album that Laura was working on independently prior to her passing - the beautiful ballads, "I Know You By Heart" and "I Can See Again". Both of these songs were very well-received by "That 80's Show" listeners, and continued to be, as Codi had the distinction and honor of being the ONLY radio personality that Laura allowed to play her new tracks.
Sadly, this radio interview would be Laura's last, as she passed away suddenly less than a year later. We're happy Codi got her opportunity to see Laura perform at Turning Stone and to meet her backstage! Video includes some performance shots from the Turning Stone show.
