Other Half Entertainment, Laura Branigan Legacy Management Company, is happy to announce that Chris Van Cleave, Laura's bandmate in the folk/rock group Meadow, will be our special guest at the upcoming Laura Branigan “Spirit Of Love” Memorial Gathering. This event will be held August 16-18, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn Islip/MacArthur Airport, Ronkonkoma (Long Island), New York, in the beautiful area where Laura last resided.
Along with being a prolific songwriter and performer of his own music, Chris has had a 40+ year acting career in musical theater. In 1973, he, Walker Daniels, and Laura as Meadow released an album, "The Friend Ship," on Paramount Records. The song from Meadow that Laura is singing in this promotional video is "Artist," which was written by Chris, and for which he sings backing vocals. He will be performing the song and others at "Spirit Of Love," as well as speaking about his musical collaboration with Laura and their friendship during those early formative years of her career, as well as answering any questions our group may have. We are greatly looking forward to having Chris join us and to the special insight that he can provide about that particular era of Laura's life and artistry.
